Currently gracing her final year of High School , Akela has displayed an exceptional ability to harmonize her academic pursuits with athletic prowess and innate leadership.
A young lady of unparalleled dynamism, she actively participates in over 20 organizations, a testament to her unwavering commitment to personal growth and community service. While maintaining an impressive 3.4 GPA, she commands respect as the Battalion Commander (Lieutenant Colonel) in JROTC, leads her class as president, presides over the yearbook committee, and serves as a distinguished Collegiate Ambassador. Her athleticism and leadership further shine through her captaincy of the school's tennis, golf, and softball teams.
Akela's influence extends to esteemed organizations such as the African American Mentorship Program, National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Dallas Teen Board. Her numerous accolades, including the titles of Female Athlete of the Year, Tennis MVP, Golf MVP, and esteemed awards like the Rifle Marksmanship Award, Hero Against Hate Award, and National Sojourners Award, are a testament to her exceptional dedication and excellence in academics, sports, and service.
As she prepares to embark on her next chapter, Akela plans to attend a four-year university, where she will pursue a major in business with a minor in communications. Her aspirations soar high, with a vision to join the Air Force and utilize her leadership and academic foundation to make a positive impact on the world. Akela's unwavering commitment to growth, service, and a purposeful life sets her apart as a young lady destined for greatness.

Thank you for supporting the Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program sponsored by Stork’s Nest Charity Fund of Dallas (SNCFD) (a 501 c3 non-profit, Tax ID# 75-2401104) in conjunction with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Zeta Chapter, Dallas, Texas. Sponsorships help to provide educational resources and services to individuals in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area counties as it relates to community outreach, health services and scholarships. Proceeds of the Blue Revue Presentation Program Sponsorships are used to provide scholarships to the qualified participating young women upon enrollment in college as well as used to fund community programs in the areas of health issues (prevention and intervention), youth enrichment and economic development.
